Porcelain Veneers San Marcos CA - Image of Veneers ToothWould you like to make over your smile this month? Learn more about porcelain veneers at Sun Smile Dental of San Marcos, CA!
Whether you have a troublesome gap, discolored tooth, or an uneven smile line, porcelain veneers may be the solution you seek. Cosmetic sheaths of porcelain can be used for a number of imperfections, and treatment takes less than a month in most cases. Because veneers are so versatile and so long lasting, this treatment is appealing to many people who want to change something about their smiles. More than the cosmetic cover, it is the attention provided by your dentist that will give you the smile you have always dreamed of.
Dr. Lin performs veneer treatment with a great deal of thought and planning. Patients seeking smile enhancement are encouraged to note the small details that they like about other smiles they see. These characteristics may also be presented to us in the form of a picture – or several pictures – of smiles that are attractive. With veneers, we can mask an obvious flaw, or we can make the smile into a certain style that will reflect the patient’s unique personality.
What to expect
Porcelain Veneers San Marcos CA - Image of Smilling Woman After the initial consultation for veneers, impressions will be taken and we will discuss shading for the new restorations. Because porcelain cannot be whitened like natural enamel, many patients consider undergoing teeth whitening treatment before a veneer makeover. Rather than proceed straight into final veneer fabrication, our first set of veneers is a wax-up, or temporary covers. Living with temporaries gives the patient the opportunity to notice any details that need to be added or modified before final veneers are bonded to teeth. Dr. Lin does not bond porcelain veneers to teeth until the patient is fully satisfied with their appearance. The entire process, including temporaries, is typically completed in about 20 days.
You don't have to live with flaws in your smile. Cover them with beautiful porcelain veneers. To learn more, schedule a consultation at Sun Smile Dental in San Marcos.
